As a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Canadian-born Todd Kowaluk expresses personal enlightenment and faith in the human spirit through his music. Whether it be from his fluid vocal style or his honesty reflected in compositions, Kowaluk conjures up a great strain of CANADIAN FOLK ROCK. His debut album, A Place to Land, is an excellent example of adult contemporary rock, featuring 11 inspirational tunes. The CD has a lot of heart and reflects Kowaluk’s personal beliefs in life’s knocks, as well as its gifts. Life for Kowaluk is more than a musical career full of promise, it also includes meditation, the art of healing and the pursuit of spirituality.
His newly reimagined single, “LOVE SONG” was originally released more than 20 years ago on A Place to Land, long before the internet, smartphones, Spotify, and AI. Born from a deep desire to express, the song carries the same heartfelt message but hits different in todays fast pace sound bite driven modern age.

Recorded at Vancouver’s The Warehouse Studios during Steve Dawson’s inaugural HenHouse Pop-Up Session, the track features world-class musicians Steve Dawson on guitar Darrell Havers on Keys, Jeremy Holmes on bass, Liam MacDonald on drums, and engineer Sheldon Zaharko. This unique one-hour recording concept, hosted by Dawson, allows songwriters to complete their song from start to finish in a single one hour session. Thrilled with the results, Kowaluk is delighted to be announcing that a Music Video from that very session will be dropping for “LOVE SONG” on Valentine’s Day February 14 2025.
His EP released in 2018 “Love Can Set Us Free” was recorded in Vancouver at Lucky Dog Studios with production by Manny Alviar. The title track “Love Can Set Us Free” was nominated and won an Award for “Best Pop Demo” in 2017 at the IMC’s Award held in Hollywood California. Kowaluk’s artistic journey has led him to establish Lucky Dog Productions, a company that oversees the business side of his career as a solo artist. Through his music and entrepreneurial efforts, Todd Kowaluk continues to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide.

Recording “Love Song” in The Warehouse Studios was quite an experience to say the least. Thanks also goes out to Matt Pidutti forfilming the session. LOVE SONG was written over twenty years ago and was first released in 2001.
Kowaluk’s EP Love Can Set Us Free (2018), recorded at Lucky Dog Studios with producer Manny Alviar, earned the title track a “Best Pop Demo” award at the 2017 IMC Awards in Hollywood. His 2023 single, “Enough Is Enough,” combines a Paul Westerberg-esque guitar riff with introspective lyricism, reflecting his evolution as a songwriter.
Through Lucky Dog Productions, the company he established to oversee his career, Kowaluk continues to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide. As he explains, “People ask what motivates me to write and record music. My answer is simple: I want to have a voice in the world, but what I’ve discovered is that it’s really about finding my own voice.”
